The course is designed as a comprehensive insight into drought and flood protection. Students will acquire basic overview of flood-drought prevention and learn how to adress contemporary water challenges. Special attention will be paid to the adaptive water governance and unintended consequences of flood-drought management. During the course, students will prepare a joint working project and discuss contemporary water challenges on various case studies to deepen their existing water knowledge.
